Over his career he has held leadership roles at companies including Centerline Software, Apple Computer (Taligent), and Sun Microsystems (JavaSoft).
Thornton has BS and MS degrees in Engineering from San Jose State where he graduated with honors. He serves as an advisor for select venture capital firms and start-up companies worldwide and provides counsel and advice to corporate executives and government leaders on the topics of cybersecurity policy and emerging industry trends.
