Lenny Jachimowicz of Marriott Joins Flywheel’s Board of Directors.
DALLAS, July 20, 2017 /PRNewswire/ — Flywheel Building Intelligence, Inc., a building performance management system, welcomed Lenny Jachimowicz to their Board of Directors on July 10th. Jachimowicz joins the team following his retirement from Marriott International, one of the world’s largest hotel companies, as vice president, engineering and guest experience.
After a successful 45-year career at Marriott, Jachimowicz brings valuable industry knowledge in engineering, facility operations, and guest experience to the Dallas-based SaaS startup.
“There’s a big gap in the hospitality industry in terms of groups having a systemic approach across a portfolio, how they’re going to execute maintenance [in their buildings], and how they plan on improving productivity within their teams,” said Jachimowicz. “Flywheel has a great product that can help solve this gap. Jachimowicz started his career at Marriott in 1972 as a maintenance helper. He has since held positions as director of engineering, division director of the Courtyard brand, vice president for engineering North America, and more. Jachimowicz’s experience in the maintenance field, while later expanding into the corporate field, attracted Flywheel’s interest and will prove valuable as they expand. Joining the team Jachimowicz will help grow the company and refine the product. His knowledge will serve as an asset, connecting the dots between people, maintenance, and energy.
