Blue Pillar Welcomes Internet of Things Leader to Board of Directors.

Frederick, Md. – June 20, 2016 – Blue Pillar, provider of the world’s first self-configurable Energy Network of Things™platform that connects and controls distributed energy assets, announced today that Doug Davis, senior vice president and general manager of the Internet of Things (IoT) Group at Intel Corporation, has been appointed to its Board of Directors.  Mr. Davis brings extensive experience leading product development and creating innovative technologies at Intel, most recently for the fast-growing IoT marketplace.

Mr. Davis has spent over 30 years at Intel building new product lines and businesses in emerging market segments. Currently, Mr. Davis leads the IoT Group, a worldwide organization responsible for bringing integrated hardware, software and services to a range of markets including industrial automation, retail, aerospace and automotive. Before that, Mr. Davis led Intel’s wafer manufacturing operations in Arizona. He has also held senior management positions in the Embedded and Communications Group and served as co-general manager for Intel’s Network Processor Division.
