Wesley H. Goldstein
As a Senior Partner, Wes Goldstein focuses on building top-performing executive teams for both public and privately held companies within the energy, materials, technology, and sustainability sectors. In addition, Wes also provides broader advisory services (such as fund formation, organizational development and structuring advice, and team/culture assessments) to numerous clients both domestically and internationally.
Wes’ search and advisory assignments have included numerous projects in the Americas, Russia, Asia-Pacific, and EMEA. He is passionate about forming incredible leadership teams from the top down, placing CEOs, VPs, and Board Directors who have since demonstrated track records of successfully leading their organizations through turnarounds or rapid growth, and eventual exit.
Throughout his tenure with Hobbs & Towne, Wes has partnered with leading investors in the Technology and Energy space to build top-performing teams for their firms and portfolio companies. Some of these investment partners include EnerTech Capital, Lux Capital, Braemar Energy Ventures, Pegasus Capital, Aster Capital, KPCB, Roda Group, Formation8, Emerald Technology Ventures, GM Ventures, Energy Impact Partners, Capricorn Investment Group, Prelude Ventures, and True North Venture Partners.
Prior to Hobbs & Towne, Wes spent several years in business development and finance roles with a nutraceutical and healthcare products developer. He helped structure what was eventually an exit for the business.
Wes earned a BS from Wittenberg University. After graduating, Wes studied in Lesotho and South Africa where he was predominately focused on the impact of Apartheid on Sub-Saharan economies—he remains passionate about the area. In his free time, Wes enjoys skiing, cycling and reading, while he has his wife, Elizabeth, chase after their sons, Benjamin and Nicholas.
