Ms. Kathleen A. McGinty, J.D. served as Senior Vice President and Managing Director at Strategic Growth at Weston Solutions, Inc. Ms. McGinty was an Operating Partner at Element Partners. She joined Element Partners on January 14, 2009 and focuses on Renewable Energy and Water Technology and Services sectors. She served as an Advisor at Plextronics, Inc. since June 26, 2009. She is a Co-Founder of C-Tech Investment Partners, LLC and a Founding Partner of Peregrine Technology Partners, LLC. Ms. McGinty served as Vice President at Natsource LLC. She served as a Secretary of Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection since 2003 and oversaw all environmental policy, regulatory and enforcement activities and also spearheaded key legislative initiatives in environment and energy. During her tenure, she helped lead the state’s successful effort to attract market-leading renewable energy companies to headquarter and manufacture in Pennsylvania, bringing more than $1 billion in new investment and creating some 3,000 new jobs. Ms. McGinty served as a Senior Environmental Advisor to Vice President Al Gore. She has private sector experience, including positions at Proton Energy Systems, Proton OnSite and NRGEnergy. Ms. McGinty serves as a Director of Weston Solutions Holdings, Inc. She serves as a Member of Advisory Board at American Council on Renewable Energy (ACORE). She serves as a Director at Energy East, EOS Climate, Inc. and World Resources Institute. She was a Member of Board of Advisors at GridPoint, Inc. since January 2010. She serves as a Director of Weston Solutions, Inc. She served as a Director of Iberdrola USA, Inc. She served as an Independent Director of NRG Energy, Inc. from October 2008 to November 12, 2013. From 1993 to 1998, Ms. McGinty served as chairman of the White House Council on Environmental Quality, through which she served as Senior Advisor to the President of the United States on domestic and global environmental, energy and natural resources matters. She served as Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection Secretary under Governor Rendell, where she earned wide praise for her efforts to reduce pollution and promote investment in clean technologies. She served as Chairman of the Pennsylvania Energy Development Authority. She serves as Secretary of the Board of Trustees of Saint Joseph’s University in Pennsylvania. She was a Senior Visiting Fellow for a year in New Delhi, India at TERI, the Tata Energy Research Institute. Ms. McGinty holds a B.S. in Chemistry from Saint Joseph’s University and a J.D. from Columbia University School of Law.
